01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Portillo's Orlando Palm Pkwy is a vibrant fast-food restaurant that brings the iconic flavors of Chicago-style hot dogs and hearty American sandwiches straight to the heart of Orlando. Situated at 7715 Palm Pkwy, this eatery offers a deliciously nostalgic dining experience, perfect for both quick takeout and relaxed casual meals with family or friends.

Step inside or order through their convenient kiosk and prepare your taste buds for a true Midwestern feast. Portillo’s spotlights their legendary Chicago-style hot dog, piled high with mustard, relish, celery salt, fresh onions, red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle, and sport peppers, all nestled in a perfectly steamed poppy seed bun. This “dragging the dog through the garden” tradition is a must-try for hot dog lovers craving authentic flavor. For those seeking something heartier, the Chili Cheese Dog delivers a warm, savory punch topped with melted American cheese, chili, and chopped onions in both regular and jumbo sizes.

If you prefer something lighter but still packed with flavor, the Spicy Chicken Chopped Salad is a vibrant medley of chopped romaine, iceberg, red cabbage, ditalini pasta, crispy bacon, tomatoes, Gorgonzola cheese, green onion, and their famously spicy Giardiniera peppers—topped with perfectly crispy chicken that's both crunchy and tender. The Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken is another fresh option, blending Feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and ripe tomatoes over a bed of romaine for a Mediterranean twist.

Don’t forget to indulge in their tempting shareable sides like the Jumbo Chicken Tenders—crispy, golden, and served with your choice of dipping sauces—or the Jumbo French Fries, crinkle-cut, piping hot, and infinitely satisfying whether enjoyed plain or with a side of their signature cheese sauce. The Jumbo Onion Rings, freshly deep-fried to order, offer a sweet, crispy bite that delights every time.

The atmosphere at Portillo’s Orlando embraces a fun, lively vibe with an inviting and clean environment that harkens back to classic American diners, yet feels fresh and modern. Outdoor seating is available, allowing guests to bring their pets along—a charming plus for dog lovers. Reviews from loyal customers reflect a strong appreciation for the attentive service and upbeat mood that makes every visit a joyful occasion.

Fans rave about the quality consistency reminiscent of the original Chicagoland locations, praising the all-beef, natural casing hot dogs and the unforgettable famous chocolate cake shake, a decadent treat that perfectly caps off any meal. Many diners share enthusiastic stories of their repeat visits and large group orders, all met with warmth and professionalism that turn first-timers into regulars.

Whether you’re craving a comforting hot dog piled high with fresh toppings, a satisfying sandwich, or shareable comfort food to enjoy with others, Portillo's Orlando Palm Pkwy promises a flavorful experience that transports you straight to Chicago’s culinary heart—right here in sunny Florida.

Hubby had grilled sausage with all the toppings..pretty sure the noises coming out of him would cause a 5 star and above rating. Best hot dogs ever. All beef, natural casing with a garden or chili on top wrapped in a soft poppyseed bun. Beef sandwiches and even burgers are good. Save room for phenomenal chocolate cake. Quality is the same as Chicagoland. Good parking and atmosphere. Outdoor seating available so pets are welcome there.

The last time I ate at a Portillo's was when my daughter was stationed at Great Lakes. When my wife told me one was open in Orlando, we decided to go on another food adventure. I collected my wife and daughter then we made our way to the restaurant. It was clean and the atmosphere was nostalgic. We ordered at the kiosk and sat down to wait for our orders. I got the Italian beef with peppers. It arrived steaming hot. It was over stuffed and messy which is just the way I like them. I'm not the biggest eater but quickly found myself at the end of the sandwich. You get plenty of food for what you're spending. I will be coming back.

I have enjoyed Portillos for Years. When they opened in the Chicago area I ate there regularly. I was So Excited to find Portillos while traveling in Orlando. The Food was Fresh and Delicious. The Fries were Crispy on the outside, Hot and Fluffy on the inside. They were so good I didn't use any sauce. The People were Cheerful, Attentive, Professional and Helpful. The Order was prepared Quickly and Correctly. The Decor appears Authentic Vintage and Unique Pieces and Posters. My Personal Favorite is All of the Guitars on the walls Thank You for Taking Your Time to Read my Review Have a Great Day

We loved this Portillo's! They were so accommodating when we showed up, not once, but twice during the week, to place last minute orders for 15 staff members meals, that were at a convention center nearby. They are all about customer service and the experience! Multiple staff members, including the manager, took the time to thank us for our order and did everything you pack it up nicely!! 6 star if that that was a choice!! (And who doesn't love watching them make their world famous chocolate cakes?!!

We were able to take our time while ordering our food at one of the many kioss. After completing our order, it was prepared relatively quickly. The sausage and hot dog were both good. The onion rings were really good. The decor was fun, and I saw others taking pictures.

Set up like a 50s diner with excellent decor. The Italian beef, sausages, and Chicago Hot Dogs are authentic and have big, bold flavors. The crinkle cut fries are crispy outside and fluffy inside. The shakes are thick and creamy. One of my favorite places in Orlando.
